Adaline Mary Hushak was born April 14, 1914 near Clutier, IA, daughter of Peter and Christina Vorba Caslavka. She attended rural school near Clutier and later graduated from Clutier High School in 1932. She continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and then taught country school in rural Clutier and Dysart. On August 25, 1938 she was united in marriage to Fred L. Hushak at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier. Fred and Adaline made their home farming all their married life west and northwest of Clutier. After their retirement they remained on the farm before moving into town. In October of 2007 they moved to the Sunrise Hill Community in Traer where Adaline continued to live after Fred's death on February 24, 2011. More recently she entered the care center where her death came on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the age of 98 years. She was a member of St Paul Catholic Church, the former Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, K.D. Lodge, Carroll Township Homemakers, and Clutier American Legion Auxiliary and was active in the Clutier Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, one daughter Bev Yuska in 2011, three brothers Milvoy, Sylvester and Paul and one sister Gladys Schrader. She is survived by one son Leroy (Virginia) Hushak of Worthington, OH, two daughters, Kathy Moscinski of Rockford, IL and Denyse Henery of Richardson, TX, a son-in-law Ron Yuska of Tama, IA, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
