Deloris Joyce Moffitt was born March 28, 1936 in Hampton, IA, daughter of Martin and Addie Simmonsen Larsen. She received her education in the CAL School District where she graduated in 1953. She continued her education at Grandview College in Des Moines where she received her teaching certificate. She then taught in Albert Lea, MN and in 1960 was married to Keith Reineking. They later divorced and Deloris taught in the La Porte City schools. In 1978 she was united in marriage to Eugene Moffitt and they made their home on a farm in the rural Dysart area. They later retired to Traer and after Eugene's death on August 10, 2008 she moved to Ridgeway Place in Waterloo. She later to moved to Cedar Rapids to be closer to family. Her death came Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at St. Luke Hospital in Cedar Rapids at the age of 76 years She was a member of the Geneseo United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Eugene. She is survived by two sons David Reineking of Olathe, KS and Dale (Andrea) Reineking of Cedar Rapids, IA, one step son John (Jacque) Moffitt of Dysart, IA and one step daughter Rosalyn (Jim) Baird of Fairbanks, Alaska, one brother Marvin Larsen of Minnesota, two sisters Pansy (Robert) Alcorn of Waterloo, IA and Janice (Roger) Vaughn of La Porte City, IA, four step grandchildren Nicholas, Jeannie, Katie and Meg.
