The season came to an end for the ladies of the North Tama volleyball team this month, but what a way to end it. Allison Zobel recorded 24 kills for the Redhawks - the seventh-best single game performance by any player in Class 2A all season long - as the girls dropped a hard-fought 3-2 match to Hudson.

Zobel, who has been one of the team's most reliable attackers all season long, also had 16 digs, a solo block, an assist and was a perfect 12-for-12 on her serve attempts.

Shannon Stuart and Josie Youel both recorded eight blocks apiece for the Redhawks. Stuart also had 14 digs in the contest. Aryn Isenhower led the team in assists with 35, and Emma Knoop was a perfect 21-for-21 from the service line with five aces.

The loss marked the end of a very competitive season for North Tama volleyball, resulting in a 15-15 record. They finished in third place in the Iowa Star Conference, behind two very strong teams in Janesville and highly-ranked Tripoli, who finished the regular season 32-5.

The Redhawks will be losing six seniors, all of whom contributed to the program over their time at North Tama.
