The North Tama girls have finally hit their stride. The Redhawks are 3-1 in their last four games, thanks in large part to the continued stellar play of Allison Zobel and Josie Youel.
Zobel, the team's leading scorer, dropped 20 points in the team's 55-29 victory over CAL. Zobel also recorded a team-high seven steals.
Youel, who has been the team's leading rebounder this season, grabbed an incredible 18 boards in that contest, giving her a double-double with 12 points.
North Tama’s Aryn Isenhower makes a move around a Colo-NESCO defender during the Redhawk ladies’ only loss in the past two weeks.
The girls' only loss during the stretch came against Colo-NESCO, which has just two losses on the season.
According to the most recent stats, Zobel has been averaging 11.8 points per game this season, with Youel averaging 6.4 PPG. Zobel also leads the team in free throws made, three-pointers made (with 31), steals, assists and blocks.
Youel leads the team with 107 rebounds, averaging out to an impressive 7.6 per game. Zobel is averaging 4.1 RPG.
The girls take on Waterloo Christian in a very winnable game this Friday at 6:30 p.m., with a road contest against conference foe Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Saturday.
