Hometown Foods changing flyer distribution

February 22, 2013
Traer Star-Clipper

At Hometown Foods, we are concerned about our environment and have made a conscious decision to help conserve our nation's resources.

Over the past year, we have observed that a great number of the ad flyers we mail, go directly into the garbage. We would like to stop the waste and make a positive change.

Beginning today, we will no longer send our ads to all households in our communities- either through the mail or newspaper insertion. Instead, we will make our weekly ad available to our customers in one of four different ways:

1. Receive our weekly ad via email (we will never sell or share email address with anyone.)

2. Visit our website at www.myhometownfoods.com.

3. Pick up in our store (ads will be available the Friday before the next ad starts.)

4. Pick up from one of our local ad dispensers.

In addition to the continued weekly ads with the competitive prices and coupons you've been accustomed to, we will be introducing a new ad savings program. So instead of cutting down more trees, we're trimming prices on select "Hometown Hot Buy" items!

We are also re-allocating the money saved from the wasted printed ads and increasing our presence in digital (electronic) media.

We would like to thank our customers for their continued support and for helping conserve our nation's resources!

For more information, please contact Lyndon Johnson at 319-464-0115 or Mark Elias at 641-691-3093 or at johnsongrocery@msn.com.
