Three of North Tama's finest have been selected by Kubik-Finch Post #142 to attend this year's Iowa Girls State in Ames from June 16-21 on the campus of Iowa State University.

Josie Youel, Ellie Schafer and Katie Townsend are the three young ladies selected for the honor this year, and each will have the opportunity to learn about government up close and personal.

The 300 young women attending have completed their junior year of high school and will study city, county and state government processes. Iowa Girls State citizens set up their own city, county and state governments and administer them according to the laws of Iowa.
