Elaine Ruth (Kapplinger) Huffman went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2013 on the day of the wedding anniversary to the love of her life, Oscar Huffman. She graduated from the Kiester High School in 1940 and from St. James School of Cosmetology in 1942. Oscar and Elaine moved to Traer, Iowa in 1974 after living in Waterloo, Iowa for several years. She was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Traer, Iowa. For the past few years Elaine resided in Oklahoma City with her daughter.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Pam) Huffman of New Hartford, Iowa; 2 daughters Georgia (Jim) Kulish of Des Moines, Iowa and Wanda Hernandez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 5 Grandchildren, 16 Great- Grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and many other family and friends.

She enjoyed her Church, her Bible, crocheting, puzzles, and bird watching. She was a friend to many who often called her "Mom Elaine". A special thanks to her dedicated caregiver and friend, Pam Houston. She will greatly missed by all.
