The North Tama students have been busy becoming familiar with their Kunos - the computer tablets that are being used for the one to one program for Junior and Senior high students. Downloading ebooks from NEIBORS works like a charm on the devices. Using the Over Drive Ap which is already installed, the process is very simple. One does need an Adobe ID, but when downloading a book from NEIBORS you are directed on how to set up the ID, so just follow the prompts. We use family cards instead of individual cards at the library, NEIBORS limits the amount of checkouts to three per number. If there is more than one student per family downloading ebooks, the 3 book limit quickly becomes a problem. We are very happy to issue an additional card for NEIBOR use only. Just come by the library and we will set one up for you. Another free source for ebooks is at This books are part of the Gutenberg Project, these are public domain books and a great source for classics. These books are available to everyone and never expire. You do not need a library card to access these. Chose your book at the website, and download, when it gives you an option where to save it, save it to the Overdrive Ap. You then find your downloaded ebook in your Over Drive Ap. We are happy to help you with any of your download issues at the library.
