Redhawks edge BCLUW 14-12 in homecoming contest

The backfield duo of Brody Hulme and Kelon Hansen combined for 176 yards on the ground in a 14-12 homecoming win for North Tama last Friday night.

Both Redhawks rushed for a touchdown in the contest, which was marked by solid defense and a strong running game on both sides. BCLUW, which began the season 2-0, was coming off a 52-0 trouncing at the hands of district favorite Gladbrook-Reinbeck.

Hansen added a sack on the defensive side, along with Tony Weber, who also led the team with nine total tackles, including three for a loss. Weber also recovered a fumble in the contest.

North Tama heads back out on the road for a Friday night contest with Denver, which has lost its last three contests by a combined score of 111-42, before returning home Friday, October 3 for a date with Gladbrook Reinbeck (3-1). Kickoff for both games is set for 7 p.m.
