Abi Watson qualified for her third Iowa High School State Cross Country Championships on Thursday after recording a fourth-place finish at a Class 1A girls' state qualifier here.

Watson, who was fifth at state last year and also qualified as a sophomore, will get one last chance in the state's finale after posting a time of 16 minutes, 18.20 seconds.

Shelby Reicks of Turkey Valley won the race in 15:38.50. Watson was 5 seconds back of runner-up Lauren Block of Tripoli and just less than 3 seconds off South Winneshiek's Felicity Taylor.
