Seven NT girls batting over .300

June 19, 2015
Ross Bercik - Managing Editor , Traer Star-Clipper

Freshman Tessa Dvorak has been leading the Redhawks offensively this season, and is currently batting .529 with 22 RBI and 14 stolen bases. Junior Madison Howard has also been a potent offensive weapon for North Tama, batting .479 with two home runs and a team-high 24 RBI.

Production from the offense has come from many other sources, with five other Redhawks currently batting over .300: Jessi Jacobs, Anna Kvidera, Carissa Calderwood, Kodi Hillman and Carlie Feisel.

Kvidera has been a terror on the basepaths, successfully stealing all 24 bases she's attempted. Jacobs also has 17 steals.

In addition to her offensive prowess, Howard has also been particularly solid on the pitching mound, racking up a 6-3 record through 51 2/3 innings with a stellar 1.08 ERA. Howard has struck our 79 batters and walked just 29 with opponents batting a paltry .166 when she takes the mound.

Feisel and Dvorak have also been solid, with both pitchers recording sub-2.33 ERAs.

The Redhawks are currently 11-5 on the season and host Clarksville on Monday afternoon in Traer.
