Joe Earley Leads Hawks Offense

The Redhawks rebound and win big against the CAL Cadets, 13 to 0 in five innings. The game was played on June 18 in Traer. North Tama smashed eleven hits. Joe Earley led the Hawks with three singles, while scoring two runs. Cameron Hoeg hit a single and a double to drive in two runs. Cael Kopriva hit a double and scored twice. Conway Feisel, Will Earley and Brody Hulme each scored a run and hit a single to knock in a run. Riley Rohach hit a single to drive in one, scored twice and swiped a bag.

Cameron Hoeg took the win pitching four scoreless innings. Hoeg allowed one hit and a walk, while striking out nine batters. Hoeg is 5-0 on the year and has an ERA of 0.21. Will Earley pitched the last inning and did not allow a base runner. Earley struck out two batters. The Redhawk pitching staff averages 10 strikeouts per game has an incredible strikeout to walk ratio of 5/1, a 3/1 ratio is considered to be very good The Redhawks are 11-2 overall and 8-0 in Iowa Star conference play. North Tama is ranked 17th in the IHSBCA poll, in a field of 130 teams.

Upcoming Events

The Redhawks will host South Hardin June 30 and Don Bosco July 1. North Tama will travel to Green Mountain on June 29. The North Tama baseball program will host the Davey Johnson little league tournament to raise money for the baseball program on Saturday, June 27. Baseball and softball programs will team up and work a tri-county baseball tourney. The baseball players will do the umpiring and softball players will manage the off the field duties.
