Helen Tina Zmolek, 93, of Traer, died Friday, Nov. 6, at her home surrounded by love.

She was born January 22, 1922, daughter of Joseph and Frances Yuska. She married on November 24, 1942 to Edward J. Zmolek in Clutier. He died October 17, 1989

Helen was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake kolaches and rohlicky and loved to listen to Czech music. She loved her flowers and always saw the weed that needed to be pulled. She was the best mom ever and the best doctor without a degree.

Survivors include: four sons, Eugene (Ellen) Zmolek of Rochester, Minn., Vernon (Judy) Zmolek of Traer, Loren (Deborah) Zmolek of Dysart, Richard (Sheri) Zmolek of Traer; a daughter, Collene (David) Gorell of Eau Claire, Wisc.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy Adam of Clutier, Albina Krizek of Waterloo, Martha Untiedt of Clutier, Maxine Yanda and Betty Krezek both of Traer; two brothers, Clarence (Sharon) Yuska of Toledo and Ronald (Ruth) Yuska of Tama; a brother-in law, Vernon Krezek of Traer; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Yuska of Georgia; many nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver, Judy Fencl of Traer.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Eleanor Novotny and Leona Krezek; four brothers, Stanley, Harry, and Melvin Yuska and Joseph Yuska in infancy; and two great-grandsons.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer, with burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Clutier. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m.Sunday at the church, where there will be a 7 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for one hour before services on Monday. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
