Redhawks head into final week at 18-6

The Redhawks traveled to CAL on Monday, June 13. North Tama won 15 to 0 in four innings. The bats were loud as the Hawks pounded out 14 hits. Cameron Hoeg drove in five runs on a single, double and triple. Joe Earley hit a single and a double collecting two RBI's. Lance Zobel knocked in a pair of runs on two hits. Cael Kopriva hit a single and a double driving in two runs. Conway Feisel hit two singles. Will Earley and Skler Staker added a single.

Caden Stuart pitched three innings for the win. Stuart gave up one hit and struck out six batters. Joe Earley pitched one inning allowing one hit and striking out two. The Redhawks did not allow a walk.

Cameron Hoeg Whiffs out 15

Cameron Hoeg gave up a run on a walk and three hits in the first inning but cruised the rest of the way against GMG. Hoeg struck out a season high 15 batters. North Tama won the game 3 to 1 at J. L. Lister Field. The game was played Wednesday, June 15.

Cameron Hoeg scored a run and knocked in another on two singles. Cael Kopriva hit two singles and scored a run. Caden Stuart smacked a single and scored once.

Stuart Shuts down Grundy Center

Caden Stuart went the distance for a shutout win against NICL opponent Grundy Center. The Hawks won the game 8 to 0. The game was played in Traer on Friday, June 17. Stuart allowed two hits and one walk while striking out nine batters. Stuart helped his cause at the plate sby swiping a base and scoring three runs. Stuart lined two singles. Cameron Hoeg hit two singles plating two Redhawks. Conway Feisel, Ryan Mclean and Cael Kopriva each added a single.

J. L. Lister Tourney

The Redhawks split the day with a 1 and 1 record to tie for the championship three ways. The Lister Tourney was played Saturday, June 18. The Redhawks lost the first game to BCLUW by the score of 5-4. Joe Earley pitched well for the Hawks but took the lost. It was Earley's first varsity start of his career. Earley allowed three earned runs on six hits and five free passes. Cael Kopriva hit two triples and a single off BCLUW's ace pitcher. Kopriva scored one run and knocked in two. Caden Stuart stole a bag, scored two runs and hit a triple. Joe Earley reached base three times including a single. Will Earley added a single. The Redhawks won the second game against North Mahaska in a slugfest 15 to 7. The Redhawks had a season high of 16 hits in the ball game. Cael Kopriva and Caden Stuart each had three singles and a RBI. Cameron Hoeg hit two singles and a bases clearing triple. Hoeg had five RBI's in the game. Ryan Mclean hit two singles and drove in two runs. Lance Zobel knocked in a pair of runs on two hits. Joe Earley, Will Earley and Tyler Morrison had a single. North Mahaska beat BCLUW so each team went 1-1 on the day to share the J. L. Lister title. Caden Stuart, Joe Earley and Cael Kopriva were selected all-tournament team. The Redhawks are now 15-4 on the season.
