Clutier Public Library's Summer Reading Program

July 8, 2016
Traer Star-Clipper

July 13 at 12:00pm (noon) Trevor Templeman from ECICOG's (East Central Iowa Council of Governments) Summer Library Reading program will be here to read "Diary of a Worm". The educational portion of the program will focus on how to create compost and how beneficial compost is in reducing waste and improving our soil. The kids will meet the worms through hands on activities.

July 20 at 1:00pm we will be tying two fleece blankets for the auction. They will already be cut and ready to tie.

July 27 at 1:00pm Jennifer Hulme will be leading outdoor activities. We will end with our annual pizza party.

Our last activity for the summer will be the annual auction. This takes place on Main Street at 4:00pm on August 6, the last day of the Bohemian Plum Festival. As always we will have a large variety of items. This year our quilt will commemorate our 25th anniversary. We are already receiving items for the auction, and they may continue to be brought in early. We will be sending postcards to previous donors to remind them that members of our Board of Trustees will be calling on them soon.
