Back-to-back. It's been a while since the North Tama football team has tasted victory twice in row, but the Redhawks did just that Friday night with a 53-0 thrashing of Grand View Christian.
The long road trip to Des Moines had little effect on the Redhawk offense, which was led by senior quarterback Cael Kopriva. Kopriva had 112 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground, and was an efficient 6-for-7 with 109 yards and a touchdown through the air.
Noah Bond had eight rushes for 84 yards and a touchdown, and Tyler Morrison also rushed for 82 yards and a score. Michael Krienert had 21 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Hale Hulme caught the lone touchdown pass of the day and finished with 3 receptions for 39 yards. Keegan Rohlfsen also had a 64-yard reception.
Morrison had a 76-yard interception return for a touchdown on the defensive side. Tayten Payne also recorded an interception in the contest. Tanner Calderwood and Cael Even each recorded one sack.
