Tama County officials sworn in for new terms

Tama County officials re-elected in the 2016 General Election were sworn in for their new four-year terms on Tuesday, Jan. 3 by 3rd District Supervisor Larry Vest (left.) They include (L to R) Vest, 2nd District Supervisor Kendall Jordan, 3rd District Supervisor Dan Anderson, Sheriff Dennis Kucera and Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Laura Kopsa. Jordan will be serving his third, four-year term, Anderson his second, Kucera his fifth and Kopsa her third (she additionally was appointed to fill out two-years of John Adams four-year term after his resignation in 2006 and has been elected to the position since.)
