Author visit June 16 at Stepping Stones

Come visit with local author Charlotte Stangeland. She lives on a farm between Gilman and LeGrand in Central Iowa. She will be at Stepping Stones, 14 W. Main Street Marshalltown this Friday, June 16 from 3:30 5:30 p.m.

Charlotte Stangeland is a recorded minister in the Friends Church. She has taught both elementary school and at William Penn University. She worked with teachers from Kenya and the U.S. to write Peace Curriculum for Christian Schools in Kenya. She lives in rural Iowa with her husband, Lloyd.

Peacemaking for Beginners: Curriculum for K-2 children. Includes Bible Stories, games and crafts to teach children peacemaking skills like How to stay calm, problem solving, and valuing differences. It also teaches 7 values for peace respect, sharing, forgiveness, kindness, truth, fairness and following the rules.
