Clutier Public Library news

August 4, 2017
Patti Kupka , Traer Star-Clipper

This is it! Our auction is this Saturday, August 5, at 3:30pm in Clutier. We have so many great donations, from individuals and businesses, and more is coming in. The baked goods arrive fresh on Saturday. Four pints of Bohemian Plum Jelly are here. We have antiques and collectibles, memorabilia, newly purchased items and many gift certificates. There is something for everyone.

The library will also have a table at the Flea Market at the ZCBJ Hall with a "Free to Good Home" sign and a free will donation jar. We have some books that are duplicates, mostly cookbooks and craft books that we decided to put on the table. T-shirts are still available at the library.

The Festival has several things for kids to do. The tractor pull, the money scramble and the bounce house will keep them busy. The kiddie parade precedes the grand parade due to parents request. Having the kiddie parade in the afternoon interrupts naptime for the younger ones, so it was decided to hold it earlier.

In the evening the Fireman's Hog Roast is always delicious and the Cruise is fun to watch. This year they are working hard to make the cruise bigger and better.

The library will be open from 5 - 7 on Friday evening and on Saturday we will be open until auction items are moved down the street so anyone can stop and see what we have to sell.

When you stop in take a look at the trophy case and graduation pictures. These are part of Clutier's heritage and the library is proud to be the place where they can be found. Many people stop in to see them and look for their own pictures or even their parents or grandparents.

See you in Clutier on Saturday. It's the place to be!
