North Tama beats BCLUW

After dropping the opener to North Linn, the North Tama Redhawks earned their first win of the 2017 season.

North Tama's defense forced five turnovers and took two punts back for touchdowns in Friday's 36-14 win over BCLUW.

Tayten Payne had a 40-yard punt return for a touchdown and Zach Greiner scored on a blocked punt to help the Redhawks (1-1) get their first win of the season. Five different players also recovered fumbles for North Tama.

The Redhawks relied on balanced offense as well, which accumulated 227 yards of rushing and 151 more passing. Tyler Morrison ran for 92 yards and two scores, quarterback Skyler Staker had 72 yards rushing and Greiner added a 14-yard touchdown run. Nic Sierra's only catch went for 66 yards, and Hale Hulme had two receptions for 52 yards.
