ISU Extension workshop set for November 2

October 20, 2017
Traer Star-Clipper

It is easy to trick your favorite bulbs into flowering indoors! It's not necessary to wait until April or May to enjoy tulips, daffodils, and other spring-blooming bulbs. Many spring-flowering bulbs can be forced indoors to brighten the cold, gray, days of winter. If properly planned, spring-flowering bulbs can be enjoyed indoors from January through March. Iowa State University Extension Horticulturist, Richard Jauron, will present a program on forcing bulbs indoors at the Tama county office, 203 W, High St, in Toledo on Thursday, November 2 at 7:00 PM. Each attendee will receive information on growing flower bulbs and will pot bulbs to take home and enjoy later. Cost $5. Pre-registration is requested in order to make sure enough supplies are on hand for everyone. To register call 641-484-2703 or email cbruene@iastate.edu by October 30.
