Local District 72 Iowa House Rep. Dean Fisher (R-Montour) attended the signing of a proclamation by Governor Kim Reynolds designating October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Rep. Fisher was invited to attend the signing due to his dedicated work on Iowa's Safe at Home program. Safe at Home is an address confidentiality program for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking or violent crimes. The law was originally passed and floor managed by Rep. Fisher in 2015.
