Evelyn (Hendron) Jennings, 105

Evelyn (Hendron) Jennings was born on June 25, 1912, in Harrisburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Al and Ellie (Brown) Hendron. The family moved to Illinois when Evelyn was in 8th grade. Evelyn married James Jennings in 1934 in Lovington, Illinois. They welcomed two daughters into their family. Evelyn Jennings worked for Brown Shoe Company in Illinois as an inspector. Evelyn loved to cook and can food for her family. She also enjoyed making dresses for her daughters, quilting, crocheting, and putting together puzzles. Her most favorite pass time was being with her family and ensuring they were all taken care of. Evelyn Jennings died on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital at the age of 105. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband;and six of her siblings. Evelyn is survived by her two daughters: Janet (John) Felts of Traer and Wilda King of Missouri; one sister: Ida Ensign of Denton, Texas; 6 grandchildren: Jamie Porter of Columbia, Missouri, Janeal Lyons of Waukee, Iowa, Janan Hicks of Des Moines, Iowa, Michael King of Missouri, Krista Johnson of Missouri, and Tim King of Missouri. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
