Maspenock Rod & Gun Club defeats TAG Team

Shooting their highest score of the season Maspenock Rod and Gun Club defeated TAG Team 1382 to 1332 in the National Air Pistol League. With the win, Maspenock Rod and Gun Club is in third place with a 1 - 0 record. Maspenock Rod and Gun Club was led by Manuel Snyderman who shot a 372. The remaining contributing members were Riya Salian, Basit Butt, and Christopher Rooney. Maspenock Rod and Gun Club is from Milford, MA, and is coached by Manuel Snyderman.

These two teams are competing in the National Air Pistol League. Sponsored by the Orion Scoring System, the league is a national team league for clubs throughout the United States. Over 10 weeks each team competes in 8 games. Each week, each team is paired with another team with a near equal win-loss record. The winner of the league is the team with the best win-loss record.

In each game the teams compete in a 40 shot air pistol match. This competition is nearly identical to the Air Pistol events in the Olympic games. Each athlete will shoots 40 shots, with each shot worth a maximum of 10 points. The sum of points scored in the 40 shots is the athlete's total. The team score is comprised of the best four athletes from each team.
