North Tama Golf putt in strong performances at conference

The North Tama boys and girls golf teams each walked away from their respective conference meets with strong placings individually and as a group as the season begins to wind down to State.

The boys conference matchups were held on Wednesday, May 2, where North Tama scored 367 to take third in the Iowa Star Conference. Individual scores included Paden Ketter with 87 to lead North Tama and good fourth place as an individual. Skyler Staker finished closely behinds with 90 to place ninth place as an individual. Both athletes were awarded All-Conference honors. Rounding out the top four scores for the Redhawks were Ryan Waller with a score of 93 and Orion Hansen with a score of 97.

The Iowa Star Girls Conference meet was held later on Monday, May 7 in Jesup as North Tama claimed first overall both as a team and the top score. Overall, North Tame scored 446 with Claire Schafer scoring 93 for first overall. Olivia Schrier placed second with a score of 97 and Allie Rund seventh place with a score of 111. All three girls were awarded All-Conference honors. Lexi Bradley scored 145 to round out the conference champ Redhawks.
